Privacy is an incredible niche that went really "hot" after GDPR went into effect. Look at how many new regulations are out there today? My name is Roland Costea, i am currently the Chief Security Officer at SAP and CEO of Defradar and i am working with these concepts and teams every day. Before reaching the level i am today, i have done several changes in my career, several perspectives where i have engaged in, in both cybersecurity and privacy, and i have also started with a real change from Ground Zero, from the University. I do receive a lot of questions like "Would this course help me pass CIPP/E, or CIPM or CIPT". Yes, the program helps you be ready to pass all these 3 IAPP certifications but thats not the point. The point is that you need to become ready to drive privacy in a big organization and be ready to understand where technology helps in the journey, how technology works and what tools and practices you need in order to start the program. This part will open your eyes about how different activities should be performed and with what tools and how the first 100 days as a privacy professional or DPO may look like. These 2 parts will help you understand how privacy can be made operational, how you can implement that in an organization, how to work with several other teams like Legal, IT, Security etc but also will prepare you for IAPP certifications. Part 3 is the one we go into the steps you need to do in order to make the transition to privacy. You will learn how to slowly move to a privacy role without real experience, how to build your VALUE in the resume and actually paint that picture to the employers and in the end, how to run the corporate world in order to successfully transition to a higher role as fast as possible and become one of the greatest privacy professionals in the world that every company would want to hire.

Yes and No. We encourage all our students to read more about privacy, so every new book is definitely a good read but we in the same time try to equip you with everything you may need in this journey, as part of the course. You will find templates in the course that you can reuse in your work or your own company, you may find books that will complement the journey to CIPP for example, or you may find some Exam Blueprints for CIPM with important topics you need to remember or learn by hard because these will be included in the exam. You will find exam type questions and answers and also specific organizational Scenarios that you would need to learn in the course.
